We are excited to introduce the Palma umbrella from Royal Botania. They recently returned from Milan to share with us the incredible response to the world’s first automatic garden umbrella.
Designer, Kris Van Puyvelde, is the engineering genius behind the mechanics of the strut operating system. He constructed everything internally, so you won’t see any screws or levers on the outer structure of the umbrella. We think it’s so clever and will definitely be hit this summer. Aside from the 8 brilliant canvas colors, this umbrella is sleek and high design.
What makes this umbrella so unique? It is a lighter weight, so you can move it around your patio easily by yourself. To open your umbrella, it takes a gentle pull on one rib or arm and then the quick-release mechanism does the rest. To close your umbrella, pull down on one rib or arm and it retracts the same way. We do suggest closing your umbrella in heavy winds or as an option adding ballast weights to the bottom of the base for more stability.
The Palma is very versatile and compliments any outdoor furniture collection. We love the way it looks with Lifestyle Collection, Allux and Alura. We look forward to ordering our Palma umbrella, but trying to decide on what color to pick or maybe we should get one in every color.
