I just returned from the Hospitality Design Exposition & Conference (HD Expo 2016) in Las Vegas, which I attend every year. I like the size of this show—very easy to walk and meet with vendors in less than two days. I took some snapshots of things I found:
Loved this heater/ speaker light from a small company in Belgium. It uses electricity, not propane, and is quite attractive. I like the design and also all of its features. One can control the light, heat and speakers by a remote control. In Seattle the summer nights get cool, and we usually have throws to offer our guests when the temperature drops, but this looks like it could be a cool alternative. I think I will buy one and see if it’s worth selling on our site.
Mirrored Televisions? How cheesy, I always thought until seeing these at the show. We don’t have a TV at home, because I hate the look of them. Being able to choose my favorite frame and hang the TV in my den without anyone every knowing that there is a TV. This just might convince me to buy one. The ones at HD Expo really looked great. I think I will take the plunge and order one. If all goes well, we might just add it to our site.
Found this European looking outdoor furniture line based in NYC. I really liked the look, and we will consider them for our 2017 collection.
More heaters… Perhaps it is because the weather has been so nice in Seattle lately, and I have had many outdoor dinner parties that ended up indoors once the temperatures dropped that I find myself fixated on outdoor heaters. I liked the design of these.
Planters have been a growing category for us. So, I talked to a few planter vendors at the show. Saw lots of really cool options and am looking forward to selecting a few to add to CurranHOME.
