All the time we hear from clients that it is so nice to shop on our well-curated site after surfing the net on various other sites—they say, we are a breath of fresh air. We purposely don’t just throw every available home furnishing item on our site and hope to sell something to someone. I only add products or lines that have been carefully vetted. Plus, we don’t carry lots of lines. We prefer to go narrow but deep.
When looking for a line, the following things are extremely important:
- style: the products have to fit into the Curran aesthetic
- quality: something that lasts for generations—not just a few months
- owner of the line: must have integrity and be reputable—someone I would like to enjoy a meal with
If and only if all of those requirements are met do I even consider adding the line. Thus the lines we carry and vendors we work with have been well vetted and most of whom have been with us for over 20 years. I am personal friends with most of the workroom and factory owners. If there is a problem with an order, we are a phone call away from the owner of the company. We do the editing so that our clients don’t have to.
