Our old family friends, The Rembe’s, own a fantastic B&B in Albuquerque. They have been a very good customer of ours for many years. I have always wanted to visit them since I knew my wife and kids would love their place. We decided to spend Thanksgiving there. Los Poblanos is one of the most grandeur inns in the Southwest. 25 acres of lavender fields, enormous cottonwood trees and lush formal gardens surround the historic property. John Gaw Meem, the region’s foremost architect (the “Father of Santa Fe Style”) designed the estate in 1932. Los Poblanos conjoins 20 guest rooms, a working organic farm with meeting places for special events. They are in the midst of a major expansion which will be completed in April 2017.
What a treat it was! We felt like royalty and had a terrific time. Can’t wait till my next visit. Everything was just perfect. If you ever are in Albuquerque, make sure to add Los Poblanos to your list of must-see places.
