Nils-Ole Zib was so excited about this chair that he gave it his initials. Be honest, we only name something after ourselves if it makes us feel good. A designer’s philosophy—less is more—achieving aesthetic beauty through minimalist style. Nozib embodies this philosophy. Or in Nils-Ole’s own words: “Excitement happens when everything non-essential is scaled back to a point where you can’t remove anything else.” Just sit down in the Nozib Lounge Chair, and you know he is right.
Nozib is a sun chair, made of layer-glued wooden slats, subtly arched and masterly mounted. All components are designed to withstand rain and harsh weather conditions. From the screws that prevent the end grain to touch the ground, to curved wood slats that are sealed with a dual-component adhesive, to the neck pillow fabricated of water-resistant, artificial leather.
This new addition is a stunningly beautiful lounge chair. Carefully crafted from 88 teak parts. The neck cushion is adjustable in height or can be removed altogether. Or simply, fold it away. We’re very excited to add it! For now, the Nozib Lounger can be found here.
